Happy Fathers Day.
Church, getting all three girls and all grandkids together in one spot for burgers (that I don't have to cook!) this afternoon. Good times to be had.
This space for rent.
Church, lunch with my parents and brother's family. Go stack some hay. Might chase some pigs this evening.

So here's a quick little story. My wife and I started dating years ago, and our favorite Mexican joint was Herrera's café on Maple Ave in Dallas. We would go almost every weekend to the original location, which was a tiny adobe shack that had 6 tables. There was always a line down the street and most of the folks were SMU students and various social elites like swing and Autoerotic. The place made National Geographic magazine.
Then they moved to a larger building across the street. We went there for years and years. Took our kids. Then they moved to a brand new building a block down the street, when they got an offer from a developer they couldn't refuse. They closed down. A number of years went by and I just assumed they were out of business.
Yesterday we were visiting my father-in-law in East Dallas and needed to eat dinner on our way home. Just for the heck of it, I googled to see if they had any new locations around town. Sure enough, they opened a place on Sylvan Avenue near downtown Dallas. We drove over there and it said "The Original Herrera's Café." My mind was blown. Felt like I was living a dream. We go in, the food was just as it always was, great. I ate 900 pounds of chips and Tex-Mex feed. 77 gallons of salsa.
I'm a happy man once again.
